When PNG beats JPG for HEIC conversion
PNG is lossless: every pixel of the decoded HEIC is preserved exactly, with no recompression artifacts. Pick PNG when you plan to edit the image further, need it in design tools, or are converting screenshots and graphics where JPG's compression smears sharp edges. The trade-off is size — PNGs of photographs run several times larger than JPGs. For sharing photos by email or chat, the HEIC to JPG converter is usually the better fit.
